This structure is roughly as follows.

0-100km　　　 lithosphere 　　　　　　 　(solid)

100-300km　　 upper mantle rocks 　 (liquid)

300-2900km 　lower mantle rocks　　 (solid)

2900-5100km 　　outer shell 　　liquid　　 (iron alloy)

5100-6400km　　 inner shell solid (iron alloy)


Structure of the Earth is not uniform.

This structure seems to be known only by the analysis of seismic wave .

Lithosphere is made up of about 10 plates.

It is the same as the skin of millefeuille.

There are the continental plate and oceanic plate on the earth.

The specific gravity of the continental plate seems to be lighter than one of oceanic plate .

Many earthquakes seems to be occurred constantly in the deep place.

It is strange.
